Tenure is three musicians and a drummer that thrive in Switzerland. Their sound is assembled from odd corners of the music realm.

Becky, whose violin pierces through the thick drone of Tony’s driving rhythm guitar, grew up in the UK’s mountainous North. Classically trained, she applies sorcery to her violin’s beautiful natural sound via a mighty pedalboard that would make any guitar god envious. Her harmonious vocals will send terrific vibrations up and down anyone’s spine.

Tony’s foundation of rhythm guitar gives Tenure a sold base - from the soft soulful acoustic to the barking of his angry electric. He’s Canadian, so he naturally loves beer and getting his hands filthy working on heavy machinery.

Andi drives Tenure’s powerful sound with tight grooves and solid rhythm. Young and full of energy, he’s an inventive and bouncy bass player who not only lays down solid grooves but also brings dynamic stage presence. His precision, passion, and creativity make him the backbone of the band’s electrifying rock energy. 

 

The last element is Ron, another Canadian, who just enjoys hitting things, fast and furiously, and in no particular order. He’s an old metal guy still living in the thrash metal days of the eighties and wishes roto-toms would become cool again. 

 

The four of them, with their eclectic and broad influences and musical tastes, mash together a style that is difficult to catagorize. The atmosphere is sometimes soft, mostly moody, occasionally dark and heavy with aggressive violin solos that split open your cranium. It’s original and different.
